The appointment would end and the real work would begin. What do I eat tonight? Why has the scale stopped moving? Am I getting enough protein on this medication? Those questions don’t wait for the next visit. They show up at 9 PM in a grocery aisle.
I needed a way to support patients in the part of their lives I couldn’t reach in a short visit. It always came back to the same things: nutrition, movement, sleep, stress, and the daily routines that shape long-term health.
So I started building. The tools, the resources, the education, all of it came from what patients were actually asking for and the questions they kept bringing back. That work has been six years in the making.
That’s still how Alterra Health works today. Every part of it exists because a patient needed it.
